Poor old Simon Clarke from Greenedge had a Shimano Di2 battery fail on him in Stage 2 of Tour Cycliste International du Haut Var.
5th again. Absolutely devoed. Battery went flat with 10km to go, so no 53 and had to ride the last climb at 26% with only the 19 cog…

Just downloaded my SRM from yesterdays race with my mishap. In the final kms on the flat I hit over 140rpm multiple times w/ a max of 148rpm

Then on the final climb of 20 whatever % it was, and getting no love from my battery was nearly the whole time below 50rpm and min. of 44rpm

Now there is a tale of woe if ever I saw one. Check the video. One minute his legs are a blur, then he is grinding like a diesel.
